About the site
About & Editorial Standards
How the guides are researched, sourced and kept current, and how the site is funded.
Who writes the guides
Guides are researched and written by the site’s Editorial Team. The focus is narrow on purpose: the horticulture of Mitragyna speciosa, from seed and cuttings to repotting, overwintering and leaf care.
The site does not cover consumption, effects or dosing, and it does not give medical or legal advice.
Editorial standards
Every guide opens with a direct answer, followed by a key-facts table and the detail behind it. Figures such as temperatures, light hours and rooting times are stated as ranges where the evidence is a range, and grower experience is labeled as such rather than presented as research.
Illustrations on the site are AI-generated and labeled as illustrations. Spots reserved for real grow photos are marked clearly until those photos are added.
How sources are chosen
Priority goes to peer-reviewed botany and horticulture research, university extension services, government agencies and established botanical references. Vendor marketing copy is not used as evidence.
Each guide lists its sources at the end. Where research on kratom specifically is thin, the guide says so and draws on general tropical-plant horticulture instead.
How affiliate links work
This page contains affiliate links. If you buy through them, the site may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Amazon links on the site point to general searches for growing supplies such as lights, pots and soil.
Some pages also link to a kratom vendor and to Sacred Plant Life, a sister site covering buying guides and lab-report breakdowns. Commissions never decide what a guide says, and no placement on this site is paid for.
How guides are updated
Every guide shows a last-updated date. Guides are reviewed when new research appears, when readers point out an error, and on a regular schedule. Legal information is rechecked more often because state and local laws change frequently.
